The blue glass

I really can't help myself from admiring these photos. How I adore these rose shots. I should mention the wine glasses here. They are a set of 6 and were gifted to me by my friends for my birthday when I was in college. I have never used them and they are amongst my most treasured possessions.

Rose

These are a few of the photos that I took this afternoon and I really love these shots. I took plenty of them. I had a bunch of these buds and I was just not able to put my camera down. I stopped only when it started to get dark and I didn't have enough light. I will share the rest of them with you a little at a time.

Dragonfly

I had never seen a pink dragonfly before and this guy was kind enough to pose patiently for me to capture him.

Friendship...

... is the only cement that will ever hold the world together.
~ Woodrow Wilson.

I would have been an ordinary person leading an ordinary life carrying on with my routine day-to-day activities but blogging has introduced me to a new world. Speaking thru the lens has enabled me to interact with so many friends from all over the world. When reading all the comments that you leave here I really feel very happy to know that there are indeed a lot of people in the world who think that my photos are worth looking at. So thank you friends for following me, for leaving comments and for just stopping by to view my clicks.

In India, we celebrate Friendship Day on the first Sunday of August. I think some countries celebrate it on a different day. Anyway since it is our Friendship Day today I would like to wish you all a Happy Friendship Day. Have a great day.

Summer rain

These photos were taken a few days back when it was unbearably hot. Suddenly towards noon it started to rain and immediately my son rushed out with his skates. Both he and my husband love to get wet in the rain. I too enjoy rain but only watching it from the comfort of my home. Our house is in the first floor of the building and I took these snaps through the window. These are just ordinary photos but they are my favourites.

Garden

These photos were taken at the Botanical Garden in Ooty

The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,
One is nearer God's heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth.
