Jai Vilas Palace, Gwalior - I
The Jai Vilas Mahal was built by Jiwaji Rao Schindia, Majaraja of Gwalior, in the 19th century and the royal family still resides there. A portion of it is opened to visitors. Here are some shots of the palace exterior. Click here for pictures of the palace interiors.

Man Mandir Palace, Gwalior Fort
The Man Mandir Mahal is a spectacular palace within the premises of the Gwalior fort. It was built by Raja Mansingh Tomar between the 14th and 15th centuries.

Rock-cut Jain statues - Gwalior Fort
These photos were taken at Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India.
Along the way to the Gwalior Fort are a series of rock-cut sculptures of Jain thirthankaras. These sculptures are supposedly from the mid 15th century.
